Combining elements of lo-fi with R&B and neo-soul to create a unique soundscape, queer non-binary musician ku:hu tells her own story of heartbreak & finding a sense of identity “in an otherwise confusing world”. Born in Vadodara, India, spending the beginning of her formative years in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and later emigrating to London, United Kingdom at the age of 7, their love for music stemmed from the influences surrounding them growing up, such as Hindustani classical music and pop/rock music. This love for music further blossomed through classical piano lessons under the instruction of Australian pianist, Elaine Fenn, where her speciality in performance was 20th century western classical music.

ku:hu holds a masters degree from Berklee College of Music, specializing in Contemporary Performance (Production concentration) and a bachelor’s degree in Music from Royal Holloway, University of London.

Alongside her music work, ku:hu is also an avid photographer as well as an ex-radio show host, hosting her own show titled ‘Coffee Break Sessions with Sans’, where they discuss their opinions on current affairs as well as introducing listeners to new and exciting music.
